About Clay Martin
I am Clay Martin, founder and currently serving Priest of the Path of the Barbarian Spirit.

I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on my 18th birthday, serving as an infantryman, Scout Sniper, and Reconnaissance Marine. After my first deployment in Operation Iraqi Freedom, I transitioned to the Army through the West Virginia National Guard.

Following completion of the Special Forces Qualification Course, I deployed with the 19th Special Forces Group before returning to active duty with the 3rd SFG. During my career, I served as an 18E/F, taught as an SFAUC instructor, and worked as a SOTIC instructor at the Group level.

In 2013, I was medically retired, and what followed was a difficult spiral into chaos. Despite the dark seasons, I found hope again in 2016 when I married and began raising my family. My sons—now 6 and 8—have been my anchor and my reason for pushing forward. I know the battles many of you face, because I have fought them too.

In 2022, I underwent transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy for traumatic brain injury. Six months later, I had my first psilocybin experience. The difference was undeniable. Compared to medicine, the Sacrament was like the leap from a Red Ryder BB gun to a Carl Gustav. Traditional medicine can help, but only to a point. True healing begins at the spiritual level—and when the spirit is restored, the body often follows.
